Here’s Paul’s write-up of the second part of Vendetta’s epic Fiordland trip. The first part can be found here. *** The 3rd of February was crew change day. We motored from Cooper’s Island to Supper Cove for the transfer. The weather forecast was awesome for helicopter sightseeing so the crew were up for a special treat. Conny, John, Bridget and Owen were leaving Vendetta and Christine, Sherwin and Brenda were joining. I, the skipper was staying put but there was a promise of new supplies from the incoming crew. The incoming crew looked gobsmacked from the chopper flight and the…
How about cruising Fiordland in your sailing yacht? Sure thing! Paul and his crew on Vendetta did just that, starting their adventure with the race to Nelson on the 19th Jan. A note from the helmsman at the time mentioned that the cheesecake served after dinner was excellent. The 2 hour shifts were started and every crew had 8 hours off in between watches…

As the first boats were approaching the finish line, this breeze dropped out and made for a slow finish for most of the fleet. Nonetheless, both our visitors and regular crew alike enjoyed the stunning evening on the water and the social networking, food and drinks at the Club afterwards. His Excellency Mr Rob Zaagman (Ambassador of the Kingdom of The…
