The 2007 Port Nicholson Regatta was timed to fall during the Wellington stopover of the Fully Crewed Round the North Island race, with some of the Auckland yachts choosing to compete in the event, Pussy Galore, Wired, Outsider and Prawn Broker (Napier). Despite the tough competition the event was won by Bayleys MRX 9003 skippered by Peter Vause.
