After a week of wild winds, today dawned calm and warm. It meant a delay to the start of racing for the six boats lined up until ripples could be seen on the water hinting at wind. The course took the fleet into Evans Bay and then over to mark 4 before heading back to Evans Bay and the club finish line. The winds returned to their true form later in the race and became quite boisterous. It led to some wild sails for a couple of the fleet but luckily everyone arrived back at the club in one piece.…
Two boats (yes, that counts as a race!) took to the choppy water on Wednesday night for three short races around the pins.

Wellington put on a stunning afternoon for the first race in the At Home Series which saw 13 boats take to the water. The course took in the newly laid mark 4 at the bottom of Ngauranga and then out to Evan’s Bay before the finish at the club. Prize giving was held on the deck, making the most of the warm spring sunshine. Photos taken from Caniwi of the day’s action can be seen on the below link. https://www.zyteckaphotography.com/Sailing
