Wellington’s weather presented some challenges for the second race in the Alan Martin Series with a northerly front forecast to come in around 3pm so a windward/leeward course was set between Evans Bay and Matiu/Somes Island.Ā In additional to the strong wind conditions, there were a few obstacles in the form of the two ferries and cargo ship going right through the middle of the course.Ā To add to the fun, a few boats decided it was perfect conditions to practice some broaches and Chinese gybes.
