VHF Course

The VHF Radio Operator course is a 6-hour, theory-only course including exam, providing the necessary knowledge required to obtain the “Marine VHF Operator Qualification”. Any person operating a maritime VHF radio must hold, as a minimum requirement, a Maritime VHF Radio Operator Certificate (unless transmitting in an emergency or a distress situation). Advanced Sea Survival

A comprehensive theoretical (classroom) and practical (wet drill) course required by crew competing in offshore (category 1) races. This World Sailing and Yachting New Zealand approved course is held over a full weekend. Coastal yachting experience is recommended. Water confidence is required for the wet drill. The Boatmaster course is a 30-hour, theory-only course providing in-depth knowledge of all aspects of boating safety.
