Inshore Championship Racing
The first start (Race 6) of the Inshore Championship, scheduled for Saturday 13 February 2021, will start at 1200hrs (midday), Warning signal at 1155hrs.
The intention is to have boats finishing in time to enable crews to return to the Club to watch the Prada Cup racing.
For the avoidance of doubt this only applies to Inshore Championship racing on the 13-Feb-2021 (there is no change to the Two-handed Start Time) and amends the 2020-2021 Chronology of Races and Events (as referenced in Clause 7.2 of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club 2020-2021 Racing Season Inshore Notice of Race)

Fleet Race postponed
The Fleet Race scheduled for Saturday January 23 2021 is postponed to another day.
Special Race scheduled
There will be a Special Race starting at 1300 hours on 23 January 2021 on the RPNYC Start Line.
The intention is to set a course that will have boats finishing in time to enable crews to return to the Club to watch the Prada Cup racing.
Explanation
The Fleet Race was mistakenly scheduled against the running of the Nelson Race.

Reminder:
#1 Those competitors competing in the Wellington to Nelson Race will need to contact Nelson Marina regarding berthage if required.
#2 Those competitors coming from other marinas and parts of Wellington Harbour to race in RPNYC need to be aware of the options available to be able to pick up and drop crew in the area around Chaffers Marina. Refer to the Race Day Crew Pick Up and Drop Off Options
Insurance Requirements
Each yacht that races shall be insured with valid marine third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of $5,000,000 per incident or the equivalent thereof.

This NTC applies to the Latitude Race (as per 2020-2021 Racing Season Inshore Notice of Race)
Combined start at RPNYC – Warning signal: 0955hrs on Saturday
Courses
The course number will be displayed in or under the RPNYC start box window and may be broadcast on Channel 62 prior to the Warning Signal. The following courses (see attachment) will be used in replacement to those listed in the inshore sailing documents (specifically the 2020-2021 Courses).
Evidence of completion
- Each yacht shall sail to a point south of the latitude listed against their yacht name on the designated course
- Yachts shall provide evidence of completion of the course either by use of the Predict Wind Tracker (https://www.predictwind.com/tracker/) or a digital photographs of GPS readings to the race committee on request
We encourage the use of the Predict Wind Tracker to allow the race committee to observe progress in the race.
- NTC06 - Change to Barton Marine Offshore Championship Race Schedule

Due to the equinoctial gales the Brothers Race was not run on the assigned date. The committee has set a rescheduled date for this race and it will now be run in conjunction with the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club Regatta and start from Evans Bay.
The Cook Strait Classic date and start time has also changed after feedback from competitors.

Yamaha Spring Series Race Day 1 – 31-Oct-2020
There shall be one race run starting and finishing at RPNYC
The start line shall be as per clause 12.6(a) of Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club 2020-2021 Racing Season Inshore Sailing Instructions
For the avoidance of doubt this only applies to the race on the 31-Oct-2020 and amends the 2020-2021 Chronology of Races and Events (as referenced in Clause 7.2 of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club 2020-2021 Racing Season Inshore Notice of Race)

As per the communications to Skippers and Club Members.
“This season divisions 1, 2 and 3 will be combined into an “Inshore Fleet”. We will run racing on Divisional racing days from Pt Jerningham start box or on the water (unless exceptional circumstances apply). The aim is for multiple races each racing day with various courses – triangle, windward-leeward and harbour. We will retain the separate series (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Alan Martin) and have an overall “Inshore Championship” for the winner. This is distinct from the Fleet Championship.”
This NTC amends clause 7.4 of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club 2020-2021 Racing Season Inshore Notice of Race and the 2020-2021 Chronology of Races and Events (as referenced in Clause 7.2 of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club 2020-2021 Racing Season Inshore Notice of Race)
- Reference to Divisional Championship shall be replaced with Inshore Championship
- Reference to Divisional Handicap shall refer to the handicap assigned by the organising authority for the Inshore Championship

Both inshore and offshore fleets shall complete the same course.
Separate results will be calculated for Inshore and Offshore fleets

(VM) = Virtual Mark to “round” or line “to pass” at the position stated
Virtual Marks
- Baring Head (VM) is a point at 41° 24′ S, 174° 51.25′ E. Yachts are not required to go around the mark, instead, they shall sail to a point that is both south and east of the mark before proceeding to the next mark of the course
- Island Bay (VM) is a line of longitude at 174° 46.5′ E (due south from the eastern side of Taputeranga Island). Yachts shall cross this line at any latitude from east to west before proceeding to the next mark of the course
- Sinclair Head (VM) is a line of longitude at 174° 43′ E (due south from Sinclair Head). Yachts shall cross this line at any latitude from east to west before proceeding to the next mark of the course

Non-Spinnaker division starts FIRST (1300)(Purple Shutter)
Spinnaker division starts SECOND (1310)(Yellow Shutter)The Start Line will be between the LBYC Start Box and an orange buoy off the Point Howard Wharf.
Course details will be announced via VHF CH62 at 1200 and at 15 minutes intervals thereafter until the first warning signal.
