The Port Nicholson Regatta is the highlight of the RPNYC racing calendar – a weekend of competitive racing, great hospitality, and the best of Wellington sailing. Attracting keelboats from across the region, the regatta combines serious racing with a welcoming, club-focused atmosphere that celebrates everything we love about our harbour and our sailing community.

The regatta pays homage to the historic regatta courses of the late 19th century with the Wellington Classic. Participants will vie for the Jessie Logan 1890 Cup, with prize money set at the original 1890s amount of 10 pounds and 8 shillings – adjusted for inflation, of course. ​
