Live Sail Die coming to the Port Nic Regatta
Lissa Reyden and Brad Davies from the website Live Sail Die are coming down to see what racing in Wellington is all about (rather than taking Skippy’s word for it). They’ll be providing updates from on the water for Facebook and the RPNYC website including photos and videos.
Bar facilities during regatta
As a number of club members will be aware we have been experiencing a number of issues with the current till system which has made it difficult to load club members cards with points to use over the bar in a timely fashion.
The regatta is traditionally a period when the bar is very busy and to avoid delays for club member ordering food and beverages over the bar we will adopting the following process:
- One of the tills will operate on a cash only basis and a second till will operate both cash and eftpos.
- For those members wishing to use any remaining credit on their cards, they will be able to on either till.
Note: It will not be possible to load your club cards with additional credit over the course of the weekend.

A further reminder to please remember this is a National Championship event. ALL crew members must be a FULLY PAID up member of a yacht club affiliated with Yachting New Zealand. Membership checks will be made! Get your crew lists in now – we need crew name, membership number and yacht club. Email us at email@example.com. Thanks to those that have already provided this.
Round the Bays on Sunday
Please be aware the Wellington Round the Bays run is on Sunday 22 February. Road closures will be in place. There will be no road access to Oriental Parade from 7.45am. For full details please see WCC website.
A limited number of buffet breakfasts will be available to purchase Friday, Saturday and Sunday. As part of the entry fee, competitors will be provided with dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Please note this will be on a first in first served basis. A limited number of extra meals can be purchased from the bar if required.
