This month was fairly “business as usual” for the board.
Finance update
The ongoing finances are in a positive place even with the continued costs of maintenance like the deck and the awning.
Caniwi Capital & Dunning Thorton came through with sponsorship and we received another grant from Lion; great for the club and Wellington Ocean Sports.
Communications

Changes in the Wardroom
Discussions have started on the renewal of our Food & Beverage agreement with Black & Gold.Ā Member feedback is being reflected in our position and a highlight for the board was getting a sneak peek at the new Wardroom Menu.
You can read more about the Wardroom changes here.
Board vacancy
We’re very sad to be losing Conny Rohr from the Board, stepping down after nearly two and half years of hard work. In that time Conny has been responsible for the communications and sponsorship portfolios, and more recently has been working on a refreshed strategic plan for the club.
We’re now looking to appoint someone to the vacant board position for the remainder of Conny’s two year term, through to the 2021 AGM.Ā Conny’s cool head, considered approach and good judgement will be hard to replace, but if you think you’re up to it, please get in touch with Pedro, James, or Katie.
New members
Lastly, welcome to eight new members this month including five grads from WOSC.
